This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning, people-focused engineering consultancy that is investing heavily in the growth of its sustainability and building performance offering. The business is seeking a commercially aware Building Performance professional who can take ownership of compliance-led project delivery while supporting the development of a growing team.

While the role is advertised at Principal level, Associate-level candidates with the right experience and leadership capabilities will also be considered.

About the Consultancy

The role combines project ownership, technical oversight, client interaction and team leadership, with responsibilities including energy compliance, overheating analysis, detailed energy modelling, decarbonisation studies and planning support. You’ll also work closely with the wider MEP engineering teams to coordinate sustainability strategy across projects.

What’s On Offer?

  • Salary between £50,000 and £65,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working with a minimum of two office days per week
  • Clear progression into senior leadership
  • Opportunity to help shape and grow a specialist Building Performance team
  • Exposure to a diverse portfolio of national projects
  • Direct access to senior decision-makers
  • Professional development and support towards industry accreditations
  • Long-term career development within an established consultancy

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a commercially aware Building Performance professional with strong Building Physics and Sustainability compliance experience. Confidence using IESVE and delivering compliance-related work such as SAP, SBEM and overheating analysis is important, along with the ability to take ownership of projects, work with clients and support the development of other engineers.
