An established Birmingham architecture practice is hiring a Senior Architectural Technologist to join its team. A varied portfolio, a supportive studio culture, and a senior technical role with a genuine leadership path.

You’ll lead on the technical side of live projects, producing and coordinating technical packages, supporting more junior technologists, and working across live schemes with the autonomy to shape how the work gets delivered.

The Senior Architectural Technologist role, day to day:

• Leading technical delivery on live projects across the RIBA stages, from feasibility through to construction on site.
• Producing and reviewing technical drawing packages and specifications.
• Coordinating with architects, consultants and contractors across live schemes.
• Applying UK Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act, and CDM requirements.
• Mentoring more junior technologists and reviewing their output.
• Engaging with clients through the technical stages.

What we’re looking for in this Senior Architectural Technologist:

• Relevant qualifications (CIAT chartered or working towards it, or equivalent).
• Several years of UK post-qualification experience, with a track record of leading technical delivery.
• Strong Revit skills across live project stages.
• Solid working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and CDM.
• A clear communicator, comfortable across client and consultant conversations.
• Interest in mentoring and shaping the technical culture of the local team.
