Warrington – Remote but ideally around 1 hour commute to Warrington (quarterly team meet ups)
 
Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE + remote + car allowance (minimal travel) + x2 annual bonus’s (discretionary – personal and company related) + 25 days + BH + company benefits 
 
Are you an experienced building safety consultant / principal designer ready to step into a strategic, non-regulatory role with minimal site visits and maximum flexibility?
 
We’re working with a highly respected consultancy of 25  with an outstanding culture and staff retention. They are looking for a Building Safety Consultant to lead on Building Safety Act and Building Regulations Principal
Designer compliance across major commercial, healthcare, education, and residential projects working for some of most recognised names including kier and Dixons.

With a remote-first setup and only occasional visits to the Warrington office, it is ideal for those seeking work life balance. The package is highly competitive – up to £80k depending on experience, plus a car allowance and two annual bonuses (discretionary).
 
The Building Regulations Department may be a small team, but in its first full year, it has already achieved a remarkable £1 million turnover- just the start of its success. This role offers you the opportunity to play a key part in its continued growth, and if you choose, to establish and lead a team of your own.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading on BSA/Building Regulations Principal Designer duties
  • Advising clients and design teams on compliance and procedural changes
  • Overseeing project delivery and ensuring regulatory alignment
  • Supporting internal policy development and mentoring junior staff
  • Collaborating with Building Control partners and contributing to strategic planning

The Person:

  • Experience in Building Regulations or a related field
  • Professional membership (e.g., MCABE, MRICS, CIOB)
