Looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer role where you can lead a team, take ownership of the Electrical department and have genuine influence over the direction of the business?

About the company?
We’re working with a growing energy, sustainability and engineering consultancy with around 200 employees across the UK.
Their Birmingham MEP team works across a broad range of projects, delivering Mechanical and Electrical design alongside wider energy and sustainability services.
Current projects include a 200-apartment development and leisure centre in Kensington, involving full MEP design, alongside school projects covering areas such as EV infrastructure, heat-pump feasibility and energy efficiency.
As Principal Electrical Engineer, you’ll take a key leadership position within the Birmingham office, leading the Electrical department, overseeing 2 direct reports and taking ultimate responsibility for technical sign-off.
The role offers a mixture of technical leadership, project management, portfolio responsibility and people management, giving you the opportunity to have a genuine influence on how the Electrical team develops.
They’re looking for an experienced Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer with a strong Building Services background who is ready to take ownership of a department and play an active role at management level.
