About the Consultancy
This Building Services Design specific consultancy is now looking to strengthen their Birmingham team with a Principal Mechanical Engineer who can take ownership of projects, support junior engineers and play a key role in the continued growth of the office.
Working across Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainability, BIM and Acoustics, they provide a truly multi-disciplinary environment where engineers can work on technically challenging projects while continuing to develop their careers.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for leading Mechanical Building Services projects from concept through to completion, working closely with Associates and Directors while maintaining a hands-on approach to design.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Engineer ready to progress, or an existing Principal Engineer looking for a new challenge, who enjoys project leadership, client interaction and mentoring others.

What They’re Looking For
• Proven Mechanical Building Services Design experience within a consultancy environment
• Experience leading projects and working independently
• Strong understanding of software packages including Revit, AutoCAD and Hevacomp
• IES experience would be highly advantageous
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and support team development
• Ambitious, professional and keen to progress their career
