Build Something From the Ground Up.
Not every sales role gives you the chance to shape a brand from day one.
We’re partnering with an established and highly respected events business to find an ambitious Senior Sales Manager who wants more than just another sales target.
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in launching a brand-new event with significant investment, long-term growth plans, and genuine career progression.
If you’re commercially driven, thrive on winning new business, and want to leave your mark, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
The Opportunity
Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll take ownership of exhibitor and sponsorship sales, helping to build a market-leading event from the ground up. You’ll have the autonomy to develop your own strategy, win key partnerships, and influence the future direction of the event as it grows.
This isn’t simply about filling exhibition space—it’s about creating a commercial success story.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and execute the commercial sales strategy for a brand-new B2B event.
- Identify, target and win new exhibitors and sponsors.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Develop long-term relationships with senior decision-makers across the industry.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to negotiation and account management.
- Sell across multiple revenue streams, including exhibition space, sponsorship and digital opportunities.
- Work closely with marketing and operations teams to maximise commercial success.
- Attend industry events, networking opportunities and competitor exhibitions to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover growth opportunities.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven success within B2B event, exhibition or conference sales.
- A consistent track record of exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong business development and new business generation skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable selling to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Highly organised with strong pipeline management experience.
- Self-motivated, ambitious and eager to play a key role in an exciting launch.
Why This Role?
This is a rare opportunity to join at the very beginning of an exciting new venture. You’ll have genuine influence, the backing of an experienced leadership team, and the chance to grow your career as the event scales.
If you’re looking for autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to build something with long-term potential, we’d love to hear from you.
