Interior Design – Technician

Konker is recruiting for an Interior Architectural Technician to join a well-established, design-led practice on the outskirts of Cheltenham.

This is an opportunity to join a close-knit team of around 18 people, based in a characterful barn-converted office. The practice offers a genuinely collaborative and supportive working environment, with a strong focus on high-quality design and thoughtful detailing.

The studio takes inspiration from traditional architecture and reinterprets it for modern living, creating distinctive, beautifully considered homes and interiors.

Their work sits firmly within the high-end residential sector, encompassing new-build homes, listed buildings, renovations, bespoke conversions and detailed interior schemes.

You’ll be joining a friendly and sociable office with a fantastic culture, including weekly yoga sessions, an office garden and a dedicated space to relax and unwind.

We are looking for an Interior Architectural Technician with a minimum of two years’ experience.

You will have a strong technical background and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to develop interior and architectural designs from concept through to detailed technical information and construction.

You should be comfortable working on projects from RIBA Stage 3 onwards, across both new-build and existing buildings. Experience producing detailed interior packages, including bespoke joinery, finishes and construction details, would be highly advantageous.

A good knowledge of CAD is essential, while previous experience using Vectorworks would be beneficial.

The salary for this position is £30,000–£45,000, depending on experience.
