Quantity Surveyor / Senior

Konker is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction consultancy in Derby.
 
With over 25 years in business, the practice has built a strong reputation, a loyal client base and a healthy pipeline of work.

The team is made up of around 10 people across Quantity Surveying and Architecture, creating a close-knit environment where you’ll work closely with experienced professionals and directors.
 
The business is busy and looking to strengthen its QS team following the planned retirement of a senior member.
 
You’ll join a team where experience is valued, but there’s flexibility around level. Whether you’re an experienced Senior QS looking to run projects with minimal supervision or a strong intermediate ready to take the next step, there’s scope to build a long-term career here.
 
The project portfolio is varied, with particularly strong experience across healthcare, sports & leisure, food & beverage and logistics. A large proportion of the work is local, alongside projects delivered nationally.
 
You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, working predominantly on traditionally procured projects alongside an in-house design team.
 
There’s genuine autonomy within the role, with the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work directly with clients and develop your commercial expertise across a varied workload.
 
For those looking to progress towards chartership, full APC support and mentoring is available, although chartership isn’t essential for the role.
 
We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with consultancy/PQS experience and the ability to manage projects with a good level of independence. Healthcare experience would be useful, although relevant experience across sectors such as sports, leisure or other commercial projects will also be considered.
 
The Position: Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor. 

• £45,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
• Private healthcare after qualifying period
• Hybrid working, with around 3 days per week in the office
