Graduate Structural Engineer
Apply nowGraduate Structural Engineer – Hampshire | £25,000-£28,000
- Small multi-disciplinary practice. Engineers, architects, planners and surveyors in one office.
- Real project work from day one.
- Clear path to chartership, supported by people who’ve walked it.
- Variety: timber, steel, concrete, SIPs, listed buildings.
We’re recruiting for a long-established multi-disciplinary practice in Hampshire. Around ten people covering structural, civil, architectural, planning and surveying. As a graduate, that’s rare exposure. You’d work on real projects from concept through to site, alongside chartered engineers, not parked on calcs from someone else’s drawings.
The work mix is broad. Timber, steel, concrete and SIPs design across domestic, commercial and heritage schemes, with the odd industrial or agricultural project mixed in. Day-to-day tools are AutoCAD, Masterseries and TEDDS.
A real plus: the team has people at every stage of the chartership journey, from grads to chartered structural engineers. You’d see the path and have the support to work through it.
Here’s what you’d get:
- Hands-on project work from the start, not box-ticking.
- Mentorship from chartered and senior engineers.
- A clear chartership pathway, with time and support to work towards IStructE.
- Paid overtime, performance bonus, generous mileage if you’re driving to site.
You’ll be a good fit if you:
- Have a degree in civil or structural engineering (BEng or MEng).
- Want to work towards chartership.
- Are comfortable on AutoCAD and keen to learn Masterseries and TEDDS.
- Want variety from day one, not a narrow specialism.
