An established Oxford-based practice is hiring a Structural Engineer to join its team. A varied workload across public sector, commercial, education and residential projects, a collaborative studio, and a role with substantial technical depth and the scope to progress.

You’ll work on live projects across multiple stages, producing structural design and calculations, coordinating with the wider design team, and delivering technical solutions across a broad sector mix.

The Structural Engineer role, day to day:

• Working live structural projects from initial concept through to construction on site.
• Producing structural design calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Coordinating with architects and consultants across live schemes.
• Applying UK design standards (Eurocodes) and current building regulations.
• Contributing to feasibility, planning and technical stages depending on where projects are.

What we’re looking for in a Structural Engineer:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Working towards or holding chartership with IStructE or ICE.
• Solid grounding in structural design across a range of building types.
• Confidence with industry-standard structural analysis software.
• Strong communicator, comfortable working across disciplines.
• Interest in a broad sector remit rather than a narrow niche.
